The best thing about being a Milken Educator is that you get invited to the National Conference! How cool is it to spend time with other teachers that are just as passionate about teaching and learning as you are? Let me tell you it's pretty darn cool!
Educators as Leaders, that's the theme of the Milken Educators Conference this year. I was invited to participate on a panel with some amazing leaders in the field. Yes, I know I am considered a teacher leader too, but when you sit next to articulate and charismatic educators like Yvonne Chan and Nader Twaal, it can be just a little intimidating. I made it through, yay! And it was nice when teachers walked up to say they appreciated what I had to share. Although there are some days... I love being a teacher.
