Swim Session 1

I discovered that our own Alhambra Park Pool had summer swim lessons. Bryce has always loved the water, so it was time for him to try out formal swim lessons and for Daniel to improve on his strokes! I really liked the program there. It's small and the instructors are great! Here is a summary of Bryce's reaction to lessons:

Day 1: Cried the entire time, but did what he was asked to do.

Day 2: Cried for 5 minutes and then went on with the lesson checking to see if I was still there.

Day 3: Two- "Maaamaa! Maaamaa!" and it was over!

Day 4 - 9: Quick wave goodbye and enjoyed the lessons.

Day 10: Cried and clung on refusing to go for about 3 minutes until his instructor called him in.

Young Writer's Camp @ CSULA

As a Writing Project Fellow from years ago, I have always wanted Daniel to love writing too, but no go! So this summer it was off to Young Writers Camp, sponsored by the Writing Project at CSULA. After three weeks, it was open house time!
