Birthday Weekend

So it was an interesting 24 hours. We (the boys, mom, Lucy, and I) took off to help clean and organize Mom's house in Fresno. Needless to say that there are things that never change and mom was full of stories of the things that needed to stay... Glad and I enjoyed the stories and here are a few:

The chicken. "Don't think about getting rid of my chicken. That chicken reminds me of the chickens we had back home. You can take out all the other stuff around it, but leave the chicken." Mr. Chicken sits on the top shelf of the computer station next to Glad's hockey guy.

"That Pooh is special! I was in San Francisco when Aaron was little. I walked all over town to find it. It was different than all the other ones and cost almost $20. See how different he is than other Poohs? I will never get rid of the stuff animals I buy because they are all very different. You guys can get rid of the ones you buy, but I will always go back and sneak the ones I buy out." Bryce found it in PoPo's pile and took it and now it belongs to him!... well for the time being.

I didn't take before pictures, but here is the after of the corner where the trophies were. It is now dusted and holds Gladys' collection of prized stuffed animals.

Okay, you may not know this, but before this, there were more things piled on top of this counter than you would believe. We sorted them out and now you can see the counter, almost.

And the trophy belongs to? I think it's Julie's basketball.

It's definitely the largest one.
