My students showered me with my favorite flowers, chocolates, jerky, coffee cards, more chocolates, cards and notes, snacks, and did I mention more chocolates? And then there's my wonderful boys Teacher Appreciation Week conversations...

It is Teacher Appreciation Week. Our PTA (I am on the executive board, don't ask me how I got there) gave parents a list of suggestions for celebrating their child's teacher this week. Each day is a special thank you. So as a teacher, I want to really show my appreciation to the teacher that has Daniel for over 6 hours a day. You would think it would be easy to just hand your kid a gift and have him give it to his teacher each day... but nothing is ever easy with my kid!
Teacher Appreciation Day #1: Daniel: "Yes, I gave my teachers the candy today for Teacher Week. But Heaven didn't bring anything & she saw that I had two boxes of candy in my bag (one for RSP and one for classroom teacher) and asked if she could have one to give to Ms. Thacker. So I gave her one to give." Me: "So your teacher did not get any candy from you today." Daniel: "That would be correct."
Teacher Appreciation Day #2: "Daniel, did you give your teacher the snack basket today?" Daniel: "Yes. Heaven was looking at my bag and I thought she was going to ask me to hold it, but I didn't let her."
Teacher Appreciation Day #3: After seeing a tall girl with braids holding on the strawberry plant that Daniel was suppose to present his teacher- "Daniel, did you give the plant to your teacher?" "Yes. Tiffany asked to hold it, and asked if she could give it to the teacher, but then Chris and Daija kept telling me to get it back from her, so I did." *Chris and Daija are going to get a prize!
Teacher Appreciation Day #4: Daniel: "Heaven asked me what I brought for Mrs. Thacker today. I said a card." Me: "What did she say?" Daniel: "Oh." 3 out of 4 so far.
Teacher Appreciation Day #5: Me-"Did you give the dry erase markers to your teacher today?" Daniel-"Yes, I did. She looked at them and thought they were neat."
Glad Teacher Appreciation is finally over.
