I am excited.
It's going to be a tough road, but there is hope and that's all you can really ask for isn't it. I am not sure why this has been such an emotional week, I think it has a lot to do with the past. All the struggles and courage of those who came before us. We have been reading and discussing the life and times of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. this week. Every time I introduce my students to this man, I admire him even more. I have faced racism and prejudices, but nothing like what he and others had to endure. The courage and strength, and the tremendous loss... all for the greater good. How can you not be in awe of that. So today as my students and I witness history, I can't help but remember how we got here. It was a great day.
On a more selfish note, I am so glad to have an articulate and intelligent president represent us... and lets hope his SOE does his job... I am still bitter about that appointment!
Watchin' history...
The wonderful CAAM photo exhibit...
We were thrilled to find MLK III in the crowd...
Different versions of Dr. King!
