Tonight we made salsa! It was for a class project in Ms. Dongon's class. We didn't have to make it until tomorrow, but mommy wanted something to take her mind off of the 6th inning, so we made it tonight. I think mommy is a good cooker, but she said that eggs over easy doesn't qualify you as a good cooker. It's not that she can't cook, it's that she chooses not to. Whatever that means... Here is what I put into my green salsa (I chose the green, mommy said it would be easier to make red, but who wants easy?) First you squeeze the lime.

We added some strange, green tomatoes that were wrapped in skin. Mommy said, it would have been easier to find red tomotoes and cheaper too! Who wants cheap?

Here I am chopping up the cilantro... Yes, chopping up the cilantro. Mommy knows, just don't say anything.

Next we peel some garlic. Mommy loves garlic, I am not sure what it is, but I can peel them.

Oh, here I am cutting the onions. Yes, cutting. Mommy knows and she doesn't want anyone to say anything...whatever that means.

To make spicy or not to make spicy? What the heck, we put two Jalepenos in the salsa. What's salsa without a little "kick" ?

I found a big seed inside the avocados! I wanted to plant them right then and there, but mommy said I had to finish the salsa first and that I should ask the real planting expert to help me... maybe tomorrow.

We added a little water.

This was the part I was waiting for... pushing the button on the mega blender. Mommy was happy that she finally used the VitaMix, her super-expensive (don't ask her how much she paid for it, her friend Ivonne knows because she was there when she bought it at the LA County fair years ago for a lotta money and only uses it once a year... maybe to make a smoothie or something like that) blender tonight.

And some salt and pepper... and a 1/2 teaspoon of cumin (that cost mommy $5.00 a bottle for 1/2 tsp!) and there you have it! Green salsa!

I don't see anything wrong with Daniel chopping. You were supervising and he did a great job! He can start cooking soon!

Daniel agrees with you! He loves to use that knife! and flip eggs over easy too. The only problem is that he will "cook" but not eat it. Go figure...
WOW! It looks like you made salsa for the whole school! I don't think I got to taste!

He spilled 1/2 of it in class! So there you go! Expensive tomatillos!
