Show, Not Tell... (Why I Love Student-Led Conferences)

Here's what it can look like in a kindergarten classroom Miss Bratton!
(Special thanks to Mrs. K.)

STATIONS!
First We Practice...
Kinder Kids practice... reading poetry for parents,
showing and explaining bubble maps,
self assessing their writing,

using sounds and making words,
Rehearsing a math task,

working at the Science Station,
demonstrating sight word assessment at the Reading Station,

Time to show our parents what we know!

I get to walk around observing,
answering questions, and offering insights!

Dude, that is SO awesome! I love it. You make teaching look so simple, which means you are a FUNGTASTIC teacher because teaching is harrrrrrrrrrrrrrd!

I want to be in Ms. Fung's class.

Wow!

You are an amazing teacher. Your class is tidy. It's organized. The kids are obviously engaged.

To dream of that in my high school classes. It's sad how kids from the time they are in middle school seem to lose that spark, that excitement that learning is fun.

Kudos to you!
